Every year, GLOG receives, processes and dispatches more than 13,000 tonnes of granite from all over the world, representing almost 550 containers/year. Each order is carefully checked and delivered on time to one of our our 1,200 customers, funeral operators. 
Our main site in Brittany, specialising in funeral logistics, is equipped with high-performance handling and loading equipment, including :

  • Receiving and unloading containers
  • Systematic quality control
  • 4,600 m² of storage space
  • Handling and preparation of multi-reference orders
  • Optimising outbound flows (consolidation)

This organisation enables smooth incoming and outgoing flows, It also offers total adaptability to peaks in activity (seasonality, exceptional volumes, emergencies).

GLOG manages the production of funeral monuments for GPG Granit and all the Group's brands, in line with our customers' business and needs.

Picking & order preparation

Responsiveness, flexibility and control of unit flows 

With the support of our second site in the Rhône-Alpes region (Beaujolais), our teams manage an activity of order preparation, in the service of hospital, medico-legal, thanatopraxy and funeral sectors. In the 75 m² dedicated shop, we treat a catalogue of over 350 active references, with a same-day order processing capacity, and delivery guaranteed within 24 to 48 hours, including for international shipments. 

  • Single-unit picking & preparation of multi-product batches

  • Management of expiry dates and product traceability

  • Anticipating materials and logistics issues, to avoid delays, non-compliance and disputes,
  • Guarantee that every product delivered meets the end customer's quality standards. 

Our control methods are differentiated according to the customer or product type :

  • Checking monuments on arrival at the platform, 
  • Systematic photographic checks at the supplier's premises, before dispatch from the production site 
  • Checking packaging, wrapping and logistics documents before delivery. 

This preventive quality also makes it possible to reduce the after-sales service rate and to ensure reliable management of deadlines - two essential factors in the funeral, hospital and forensic sectors.
